Our Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) services support young children from birth to age 6 who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. These services are free, confidential, and completely voluntary. We work together with families to support a child’s well-being and strengthen relationships at home and in the community.
We’re here to help when a child is having a harder time than expected in areas such as:
- Bonding and attachment
- Anxiety or big fears
- Difficult behaviors that are hard to manage
- Trouble calming down or expressing emotions
- Trauma, grief, or loss
- Autism or developmental concerns
What support looks like
Every child and family is unique, so our support is tailored to your needs. We may offer:
- Individual and/or family therapy – using approaches like Play Therapy, Theraplay, Filial Therapy, and Family Therapy
- Parent and caregiver support – including strategies to understand your child’s behavior, build emotional skills, and strengthen your relationship
- Collaboration with others – with your permission, we can connect with your child’s other supports, such as daycare, preschool, or health professionals
Our therapists use a variety of playful, expressive approaches that are developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive. These may include play, art, or sand tray therapy to help children express themselves in safe and meaningful ways.

How families are involved
We believe that healing happens best when families are involved. Caregivers play a key role in supporting their child’s emotional development. We work closely with parents to:
- Understand your child’s unique needs and behaviors
- Strengthen your connection and relationship with your child
- Build confidence in responding to challenging situations
- Support your child’s growth using strategies grounded in brain science, attachment, and child development
Our approach
Our work is guided by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT)—a brain-based approach that helps us understand how a child’s early experiences affect development and behavior. This helps us match each child with the right supports at the right time.
We’re here to walk alongside you and your child, offering compassionate support, practical tools, and a belief in your family’s strength and resilience.
